Pastoral Advisory Committee

In keeping with the collegial model of Church encouraged by the Second Vatican Council, the Pastoral Council of St. John Catholic Community exercises a ministry of leadership by advising the pastor on issues pertaining to the vision and development of the Community. Through prayer, study and attentiveness to the life of the parish, the Council assists the pastor by identifying significant concerns and by developing workable strategies to address these concerns.

The Pastoral Council is an advisory board for our pastor, Rev. Edison Vela. The Council is composed of Fr. Vela and members chosen for two-year terms.

In its advisory role, the Council gives Fr. Vela advice on both immediate issues facing the St. John Catholic Community and longer term strategic planning. We meet on the third Thursday of every month, and the meetings are open to non-Council members. If you wish to address the Council, please contact any one of the officers at least 2 weeks before the meeting date so the topic can be added to the agenda.

The Pastoral Advisory Council meet the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Parish Business Office.
